Born and raised in the Finger Lakes near Ithaca, NY. I attended Cornell University and spent a semester studying in Italy. After college, I worked as a research assistant, including stints in Argentina, Australia, and the Galapagos. I did my Master's with Zac Cheviron at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and my PhD in the Cheviron Lab at the University of Montana. During grad school, I was supported by a NSF GRF and a PEO Scholar Award, in addition to many generous organizations supporting my research. I am now a postdoc at the University of South Carolina.
